Azerbaijan’s gas supply to Georgia is now expected to continue until the end of the year, following an announcement by Azerbaijani state oil company president Rovnag Abdullayev. Last week reports surfaced that Azerbaijan would shut off its gas supply to Georgia on October 15, following the October 1 expiration date of the contract. Azerbaijani information agency Day.Az reports that negotiations are in progress between the two countries to maintain the gas supply until the year’s end. |
