Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan output down for September
By M. Alkhazashvili

(Translated by Diana Dundua)

The Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline transported only 1.2 million tons of oil in September, due to a forced closure of several days after a pumping station failed.

Since the beginning of the year, BTC has been steadily increasing its supply [see graph].

In 2006, a total of 9 million tons of oil was transported via the BTC pipeline, whereas the Baku–Supsa (Georgia) pipeline transported 5.5 million tons, according to the newspaper Rezonansi.
