Public opinion: how many people will attend the opposition protest on Friday?
By M. Akhazashvili

Nearly 60 percent of Georgians questioned plan to attend the opposition protest this Friday, November 2.

The newspaper Kviris Palitra asked 419 Georgians whether they would attend the protest, which will demand parliamentary elections next year are moved forward to April.

The newspaper did not give its methodology, or specify whether the sample included rural residents.

The parliamentary elections were originally scheduled for April until constitutional amendments changed them to coincide with presidential elections in late 2008.
