Trade turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan is forecast to reach USD 2 billion within the next two years, according to Russian Trade Representative to Azerbaijan Yuri Schedrin. Data from the first ten months of 2007 put the current trade turnover at around USD 1.2 billion.
He also said that trade between the two countries increased by 4.6 percent between January and October. “Not taking into account last year’s gas delivery [from Russia], trade turnover grew by almost 40 percent,” he added.
