Italian Embassy in Georgia and the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory organized a concert entitled “Italian Virtuosities,” starring the Orchestra Camerata Ducale and led by Guido Rimonda at the Conservatory Grand Hall on December 7.

The ensemble, comprising three violins, a viola, a cello, a double bass and cembalo, played the works of Vivaldi, Tartini, Paganini and Viotti.

“I want to thank the Tbilisi State Conservatory who supported and enabled us to organize this event as a closing up of the Italian culture days in Georgia in 2007,” Italian Ambassador to Georgia Vittorio Sandalli said after the performance.

The ensemble held a master class at the Tbilisi State Conservatory on “The Development of Violin Art in Italy” before the concert.
