Ganja Automobile plant in Azerbaijan will start assembling Belarusian tractors in the next three or four months, according to Belarusian ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Patskevich.

The ambassador also said that the two countries will cooperate on other automobile production projects.

“The output of the Azerbaijani-Belarusian joint venture will be 8 000–10 000 units per year, which will be exported to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and border regions of Russia,” Patskevich said.

Last year the factory produced around 500 tractors, and its capacity is expected to rise to 600–700 in 2008.
