The Georgian Government is prepared to enhance its cooperation with Russian business circles despite the fact that the occupiers are still here.

Minister of Economic Development Ekaterine Sharashidze has stated that country is ready to continue its cooperation with Russian businessmen and will not discriminate against them. This decision however has aroused the anger of the opposition parties, in particular, as the current administration is still opposing the presence of Russian soldiers in Georgia.

The opposition thinks that the major lobbyist for Russian capital in Georgia is Kakha Bendukidze, a Government Minister. Mamuka Katsitadze, one of the leaders of the New Rights Party, believes that when you are engaged in a conflict with Russia it is inappropriate to have such a person in the executive.
