Wednesday, September 24
The TBC Fund and the Iavnana Foundation will host a charity concert in the Tbilisi Sports Palace on September 25, dedicated to the support of IDP children orphaned in the August war.

The concert will feature a performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem, starring world famous opera singers Lucciana Dintino, Olga Romanko-Primavera and Ramon Vargas together with Paata Burchuladze, the founder of the Iavnana Foundation. The famous Spanish conductor Miguel Gomez-Martinez will direct the Tbilisi Opera and National Music Centre orchestras. The final part of the Requiem, as is traditional, will be performed by the light of thousands of candles.

The Foundation has purchased thirty flats for socially vulnerable families which it has given to them gratis. The founder of Iavnana, world famous baritone Paata Burchuladze, has attracted dozens of famous musicians to the charity and each contributes to the needs of Georgian children. He has organised 29 charity events thus far.
