Economic growth of the country has slowed down

The Russian aggression in August was a real blow to the Georgian economy. IMF analysts estimate that Georgia’s economic growth this year will be the lowest among CIS countries, at only 3.5%, compared with the highest (Azerbaijan, with 16% GDP growth) and the lowest of the rest (Kazakhstan, 4.5%). In 2009 however Georgia’s GDP growth will reach 4%.
