It has become known that 4 million tonnes of Kazakh oil from the Tengiz oil field will be transported from the Georgian oil terminal of Kulevi from February 2009.

The Azeri State Oil Company owns 51% of the shares in Kulevi oil terminal and port, with the rest belonging to Georgian partners. Since the Russian aggression situation in and around Kulevi terminal has calmed down, and it is able to work at full capacity but will be building up to this slowly.
