Polling results in Ukraine

Evgeni Kopatko of the Research & Branding Company in Ukraine, commenting on poll results, stated on December 25 that 60% of those who answered the question in one of its recent polls were sure that Ukraine should not get involved in Caucasus conflicts. 10% said that Ukraine should have assisted Georgia, 20% suggested it should have assisted Russia and 70% of those questioned are negative about President Yushchenko’s conduct during the Russian-Georgian war. His policy was supported by only 13%.

Polling was carried out from November 22 to December 1 2008 and more than 2,000 respondents from 25 districts and the Crimea participated in it.
