Czech Gems

The Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Museum of Tbilisi History, part of the Georgian National Museum, opened an exhibition entitled Czech Gems on January 26, on the occasion of the Czech Republic’s assumption of the rotating EU Presidency.

The exhibition highlights the most important discoveries, inventions and other cultural and social achievements which have originated in the Czech Republic or with Czech people. All the gems exhibited have undoubtedly contributed to European and world heritage in the fields of science, culture, architecture, social life etc.

The exhibition was opened by the Czech Ambassador to Georgia, HE Ivan Jestrab. The invited guests enjoyed the exhibition, as it represents the highest achievements of the country, those it is most proud of.

The posters exhibited portrayed Prague Castle, a Nativity Scene, Court Steeds, Medicinal Springs, the Bohemian Bellflower, a Lightning Machine, Contact Lenses, The Key to a Language, the Genesis of Genetics, the First Robot, Sweet Rewards, Fragile Light, an Ice Hockey Breeding Ground, Guides to the Provinces and other scenes.
