Georgia will finally withdraw from the CIS in August

Georgia will officially withdraw from the CIS on August 18, 2009. On that date the one year notice period for withdrawals stipulated in the CIS membership charter expires. During this time Georgia has to conclude bilateral agreements with the countries it now automatically has multilateral CIS agreements with, says Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Nalbandov.
