Iran plans to increase its provision of natural gas to Armenia. Today Iran pumps to Armenia two million cubic metres of natural gas daily. In return Armenia sends electricity to Iran. Deputy General Director of Arm Ros Gazprom, Ashot Ofsepian, says that by 2011 Iran will be providing Armenia up to 2.3 billion cubic metres of gas annually.

Iran began to send gas to Armenia on May 15, 2009. Armenia sends in return 3 kilowatts of electricity per cubic metre of gas.
