Hanukkah 2009

The Jewish festival of Hanukkah, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and light over darkness, has been celebrated in Georgia and the Roman Janashvili Jewish Sunday School.

On this occasion the school put on a performance of a play by Sholem Aleichem, whose 150th birthday is also being celebrated this year. Organiser of this project Riva Krupnik welcomed the audience and congratulated them on the celebration.
