Leader of Armenian leaders party Tigran Karapetian has stated that if the Karabakh conflict is resolved US influence will stretch to the Caspian Sea. Therefore to prevent an increase of Washington’s influence in Armenia Moscow is trying to enlarge its cooperation with Armenia in different directions.

Karapetian thinks that the region will remain for quite a long time part of the spheres of interest of both superpowers, obviously meaning the US and Russia. He says that Turkey will not ratify the Armenian-Turkish relationship protocols because it will demand certain conditions first.
