Men to unite to stop violence against women

On April 14 prominent international expert on gender issues and White Ribbon Campaign co-founder Michael Kaufman delivered a speech on public advocacy at the Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel. Other speakers included Chair of the Gender Equality Advisory Council of the Parliament Rusudan Kervalishvili, Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Gigi Tsereteli, Ambassador of the USA to Georgia John Bass, UNFPA Assistant Representative in Georgia Tamar Khomasuridze and others.

Yesterday Dr. Kaufman started conducting a three day regional training on the role of men in advancing gender equality and ending violence against women for thirty male participants from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
