Azerbaijan: Turkey friend, Armenia enemy

The organisation Pulse has carried out polling in Azerbaijan asking Azeris who the friends and enemies of the country are. 86% nominated Turkey as Azerbaijan's greatest friend, 22% Russia, 11% Georgia, 9% Ukraine, 8% Iran and 6% the USA. Armenia is regarded as the country's greatest enemy, followed by Russia and then Iran.

Asked how Azerbaijan should develop from here, 32% supported European integration, 14% CIS integration and 7% joining Islamic organisations. 41% said Azerbaijan should be neutral.
