Criminal cases against Russian constructors

Criminal cases have been opened against certain Russian officials involved in the construction business in South Ossetia. It is alleged that they have been carrying out corruption deals and appropriating money allotted by Russia for the puppet state of South Ossetia. The head of the administration of the so-called President of South Ossetia stated that the people have been detained for criminal offenses and not for ethnical reasons. According to the head of the administration every resident of South Ossetia is a citizen of Russia, each of them is liable to answer to the law whether they live in South Ossetia or another part of Russia.
