Popularity of AGRI increases

The number of countries interested in purchasing Azeri liquid gas is increasing. Some time ago we reported that Ukraine had expressed a desire to purchase a certain amount of liquid gas and now Bulgaria has too.

As is known the AGRI project will involve transporting Azeri gas to the Black Sea ports of Georgia, liquidising it and then transporting to Romania and on to European countries. If the project is implemented timeously in a couple of years it should be one of the most successful means of transporting Azeri gas worldwide.

Bulgaria’s interest in AGRI has been partly engendered by its refusal to cooperate with Russia on natural gas pipeline projects and its freezing of nuclear power station construction, which also involved working with Russian companies.
