US assistant secretary of state for south and central Asian issues Robert O. Blake Junior stated that Central Asia is a very important region to USA national interests. He added that USA acknowledges the sovereignty and independence of all five central Asian countries and that the USA supports stability in the democratic development of all the states which will be integrated in the world economy and would collaborate with each other, USA and all the partners to facilitate security and stability in the region. US policy in this direction has always been positive and constructive. Currently the Obama administration has highlighted its priorities regarding this region. These are enlarging cooperation in central Asian countries for the facilitation of the coalition activities in Afghanistan; to facilitate the exploitation of energy resources for diversification of their transportation; to assist political liberalization and the respect of human rights; to strengthen the competitive market economy and according reforms; to assist effective governance of the states. To implement its priorities, the USA has decided to enlarge civil society cooperation with these countries through creating mechanisms of consultations, so that permanent dialogue should be underway which will eventually emerge into nrealistic working plans. All this should support progress in these countries.
