MES and Civil Registry to Exchange Information Online

Monday, August 16
On August 13 a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice. The memorandum envisages the automatic exchange of data between two structures. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Koka Seperteladze and Deputy Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Civil Registry Agency, Giorgi Vashadze signed the memorandum.

According to the memorandum, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will receive information online from the Civil Registry Agency of the Ministry of Justice.

Following the introduction of electronic ID cards, electronic Diplomas will also be included in these electronic ID cards.

Free registration for school children was held in 2009 at the territorial offices of Civil Registry Agency. As a result, a database of school aged children was created. It helps different interested agencies to implement social programs effectively.

After signing the memorandum, responsible employees of MES will enter the school children’s data through the base of the Civil Registry Agency online.

Exchanging information online between the two agencies reduces administration costs such as copying the documents and sending letters.
