More foreign teachers arrive in Georgia

On August 14, a second group of foreign teachers arrived in Georgia within the framework of the project 'Teach and Learn with Georgia'. 57 teachers arrived from the USA, Canada and European countries. The teachers will be distributed among the public schools of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti after passing the training. From the beginning of the academic year they will teach school children English language together with the local teachers.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Nodar Surguladze met the teachers at Tbilisi International Airport. According to Nodar Surguladze, 'Teach and Learn with Georgia' is one of the most important projects being implemented in the Georgian education system. Similar projects operate successfully in different countries around the world, among them Japan. Most important is that the schoolchildren will improve their English by people-to-people communication”.

The first delegation of foreign teachers who arrived in Georgia on July 30 will teach English language in the public schools of Adjara.

In total 1,000 native English speaker teachers will arrive in Georgia this year.
