France interested in NABUCCO

France has expressed an interest in the NABUCCO gas pipeline project, according to Turkish newspaper Star. Representatives of French businesses expressed their interest in participating in the project. France wants to join NABUCCO as one of the partners. However Turkey might not be enamoured with the idea of French participation in the NABUCCO project due to the official Paris position on recognizing the humanitarian catastrophe of the beginning of 20th century as genocide.
