US against Europeans using Iranian gas

At the Istanbul international energy conference US special envoy in Eurasian energy issues, Richard Morningstar said that Iranian gas should not be considered for any gas transit projects. He aired the US opinion that the energy carriers' supply should be diversified and supported the idea of energy suppliers such as Iraq, Qatar and Turkmenistan, and is categorically against including Iran in any such projects.
