Frontline Georgia launched in Tbilisi

Monday, October 11
Georgian Institute of Public Affairs Caucasus School of Journalism and Media Management launched the Tbilisi media club ‘Frontline Georgia’, a project inspired by the London-based Club, on October 8. The club aims to serve as a politically-netural venue for journalists, public officials, students and intellectuals to come together for dialogue over media, social, political and cultural issues important for Georgia and the region.

According to the dean of Caucasus School of Journalism and Media Management, Maia Mikashavidze, Frontline Georgia will hold talks, screenings and exhibitions, as well as master classes and bring together the key players and thinkers in politics and the media. “All events are public,” she said. According to the project representatives, the aim of the club is to contribute to quality journalism and exchange of views.

Frontline Georgia receives support from the Open Society media program, Open Society Georgia Foundation and the Georgian Institute of Public affairs.
