Russia benefits from selling arms

Director General of Ros Abaron Export, Anatoly Isakin stated Russia received well over USD 60 billion from selling military equipment abroad in 2000-2010. 80% of the equipment exported is produced in state-owned enterprises in Russia. In 2010 alone, Russia will receive almost USD 10 billion from arms sales. Apart from their largest customers, India and China, Russia exports military equipment to around 70 countries worldwide. Items in high demand are planes, anti-aircraft missiles, technology, and light armaments.
