South Caucasus railways', formerly Armenian railways, leadership recently stated that for the last 3 years of its operation, 47% of transported goods were produced in Armenia. The railways construction helped to create 1700 working places as well as 27 enterprises during this time. As it is known, Armenian railways were given to Russia as a concession for 30 years, when it was renamed south Caucasus railways. Its main target is to become integrated into the Eurasian transport corridor, however due to the Karabakh conflict this task is rather difficult to achieve.
