Giga Bokeria preparing for presidency

Lawyer Shalva Kachapuridze, in his interview to Akhali Taoba, suggests that the opposition should pay special attention to Giga Bokeria, former deputy FM and now chief of national security service. Khachapuridze said that Bokeria and his team are preparing for the next presidential elections when he plans to become president. “Saakashvili sees it, but certain forces behind Bokeria try to balance Saakashvili’s authorities today. Bokeria is seriously preparing for the next presidency, which means that after his coming into power, Saakashvili should not be in the authorities, not even as PM,” Khachapuridze said.

“While the opposition is in unclear condition and discusses the internal situation, the process of replacing Saakashvili has begun. It did not start today or yesterday, it had begun long ago and work is well underway. Mobilizing of funds and forces has begun,” Khachapuridze said and added that Merabishvili and Irakli Alasania are considered to be in Bokeria’s team.
