How do you prevent yourself from catching the flu in winter?

Tuesday, January 18
Well, nothing special, I just wear warm clothes, drink hot tea two times a day with lemon and vitamin C. It really works, I have not caught cold till now or flu. I hope that I will spend this winter without this disease.

I walk in the street and in the public transport with mask as I am very afraid of the flu, especially the H1N1. Last year I also wore this mask and I escaped from this dangerous disease.

There is very warm weather this winter and there has been no need for me to wear very warm clothes. To tell the truth I do not do anything special to prevent catching the disease. If I notice symptoms, I will see a doctor.

I dress warmer, take medicine against the disease from the throat and try to avoid using municipal transport. That’s all – I haven’t yet faced any danger!

There are lots of medicines to help prevent us from getting ill. I have a personal doctor – she is a wonderful specialist in her field and I always follow her advice. Winter in Tbilisi has been quite warm and pleasant but there have been several really freezing days lately… so the only thing I could do was to put on a warm hat and a scarf, wear gloves and drink a lot of tea.

Oh I have really terrible flu this year – I feel so bad that I can hardly go out to see my old friends and enjoy the feasts with them. Fortunately my wife is keen on different soups and she always makes hot dishes especially for me. I also drink special anti flu medicine and follow the doctor’s prescription. Take cake before it’s too late, I have experienced that.
