Sugar price increases in Georgia and Armenia

The price of sugar price in Georgia reached nearly GEL 3 in the retail market. It has also increased in Armenia, and Armenia blames Georgia for the rise. Armenian information agency News.am reports that initially in Armenia the price of sugar did not go up; it was about USD1 per kilo. In Georgia it went up to USD1.3, so Georgian businessmen started purchasing Armenia’s sugar, which led to the increased sugar price in Armenia.
