Maestro Vakhtan Machavariani – 60

Maestro Vakhtang Machavriani held his 60th jubilee by giving a concert of selected pieces of the most important composers for him at Rustaveli theatre on February 22. He played: Ludwig Van Beethoven – Symphony No. 7; Vakhtang Machavariani – Symphony poem “Natsarkekia”; Richard Wagner – Overture, “Rienz”; Richard Wagner – Overture, “Tanhoiser”.

The audience welcomed the Maestro and warmly congratulated him. The Evgeni Mikeladze State Orchestra was at its best and the director showed his world class skills achieving complete harmony in performing world masterpieces.
