Rise in oil prices increase Azeri gains

The events in Arab countries could influence Azerbaijan in two ways: first they could increase revolutionary sentiments and on the other hand they could create an opportunity for the country to receive colossal gains on selling its oil and gas. On March 1, President Ilham Aliev stated that the major issue for the country is to rationally spending its so called oil dollars. Accordingly the President gave orders to different bodies to start purchasing real estate assets in the major capitals of developed countries, creating Azeri trade centers, cultural centers, representations and so on. So, in the near future Azerbaijan could become one of the leading investors in different foregin countries.
