New Modern Davit Tatishvili Medical Center opens

On March 3, the Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili opened the Davit Tatishvili Medical Center. The new clinic which will operate in several different directions - it will have the departments of children`s and maternity, surgical department and stationary. The centre is equipped in accordance with modern technologies and employs 150 people.

Saakashvili said the clinic fully met modern international standards.

According to Saakashvili's statement, in several years’ time every clinic in Georgia will satisfy contemporary standards. "I remember very well, the period when we opened a clinic in the building of "Lechkombinat". I was a majoritarian of Vake district then. The difference between now and then is that all categories of people will have a chance to get medical treatment in this clinic of the highest standards which was developed by highly professional people. During recent years we gave medical treatment to people that are socially unsecured. It means that a person, who has the greatest need in his daily life, can go to the clinic of the highest level and get medical treatment there because he has an insurance policy. In 2015, according to the modernization plan, every clinic in Georgia will be of the same level or almost at this level. The main thing is to have top professionals in all of these clinics. It is very important that all these facilities become available for people, people should have a chance go to such clinics and get prevention or regular treatment for already known diseases. I would like to thank David not only for being a really interesting, innovative and one of the best Georgian doctors, but because he is a person that invents and develops", Mikheil Saakashvili stated.

This unique and ultra modern new medical treatment center is located in a five storey building. The clinic has a lab equipped with the best technologies where tests are carried out in the same manner as in any leading clinics all around the world. There are surgical and pediatric departments in the medical center. As the founders of the center said, all conditions are created for the comfort of patients in the wards.
