Do you think there will be snap elections in Georgia in near future?

Monday, April 4
“I think snap parliamentary elections are inevitable in Georgia and it will happen as soon as the opposition begins a new wave of protests in Georgia. This will be the only possible outcome from the tense situation. But if people will not get involve in protest rallies elections will be held as it is planned in 2012.”

“Well, I think the situation is getting worse and worse in the country and one day the Georgian people will be really fed up. I advise the current authorities to think more about the people, otherwise, pre term election and even revolution will not be excluded.”
Giorgi, Unemployed, 31

“I do not think that pre term elections are possible in the country; there is no necessity of this, to my mind. On the other hand, the result of any elections, at the present moment would be acceptable for the ruling party, as the ratings of the opposition is very low.”
Lasha, Manager, 28

“If the authorities decide that the situation is strained in the country, there is a possibility of pre term elections in the country, in my opinion. Saakashvili has already done such thinking.”
Nikoloz, Sociologist, 42

“I think pre term elections won’t be held in our country because of the opposition’s disorder. I mean they aren’t at all united and the difference between their political values is very profitable for the governmental team.”
Maka, Dentist, 27

”The Georgian political environment needs pre term elections for withdrawing the current regime but I doubt there will be any compromises made from the ruling United National Movements team. The only thing we have to do is to wait for 2012. That should be quite enough time for the opposition representatives to share their opinions and obtain the trust of electorate”.
