Phantasmagoric comedy Sweet, Sad Scent of Vanilla after Irakli Samsonadze impressed the audience with its multi-emotional scenes at Rustaveli Theatre on April 10. Leading artists Zaal Chikobava, Zaza Papuashvili and Tristan Salaridze with other well-known artists introduced an amazingly dizzy story with extraordinary ending staged by Andro Enuikidze under Robert Sturua’s directorship.

A young Georgian man named Giorgi leaves for the US and returns back as an absolute stranger to his previous neighborhood. Finding out the connection between Manhattan and his hometown he feels sad without his beloved woman... Variations of ordinary family relations with scandals, treason and loyalty mixed with enchanting plastic movements under energetic rhythms made this play so special for the admirers of the intriguing approach to life which is so common to Samsonadze’s scenarios.
