The President Opened Newly Constructed School in the Village of Vaziani

The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili opened a newly constructed school in the village of Vaziani. The construction of the new Vaziani Public School was finished in 2011 where 171 schoolchildren will study and 21 teachers will teach at.

The school is equipped in accordance with modern standards. The school has a stadium, a hall, natural science labs, computer labs, an English language room and a library.

The schoolchildren of Vaziani Public School have had great success in National Olympiads and National Exams. The school has selected football, volleyball and table tennis as the fields of sport for their schoolchildren.

The President of Georgia presented personal computers to the schoolchildren with best academic achievements Lika Vakhtangadze and Rati Kontselidze

The teachers of Vaziani Public School are actively involved in the teachers’ certification process. In the scope of the program Teach and Learn with Georgia American volunteer teacher Jonathan Roberts teaches at Vaziani Public School.

The first school in the village of Vaziani was opened in 1989. Later, in 1995 the school was reorganized into Public School.

The construction of the new school was financed by the World Bank.
