Vera Kobalia’s working visit to the Republic of France

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Vera Kobalia was on a working visit to France on June 20-22. Meetings with the representatives of political and business circles were held in the framework of the visit. The parties talked about deepening economic relations between the two countries.

Vera Kobalia noted that political relations between the two countries directly affect business relations and she noted that the French are particularly interested in the sectors of tourism and agriculture.

Vera Kobalia also talked with the representatives of Regional National Parks of France. The parties discussed the well-practiced methods of France in terms of managing protected territories. On one hand the system involves local inhabitants in the process and on the other hand the government financially assists small and medium agricultural family businesses. A similar model was implemented in different countries with positive results.

Vera Kobalia also visited the Parisian air show in Le Burzhe, where more than 200 companies presented their equipment. Testing of more than 140 planes was planned at the air show. Vera Kobalia also attended the signing of the Letter of Intent which was signed by French Company ATF and “Union of Airports of Georgia.” ATF is one of the leading companies in producing turboprop aircrafts and the company is a leader in the list of green companies. Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Vera Kobalia also examined an aircraft constructed by the company.
