In 2010, Turkey received USD 25 bln from foreign tourism. This year the situation seems to be even better as in January-May, Turkey received more than 9 mln tourists which is almost 15% more than for the same period last year. Most commonly, Turkey is hosting Germans, Russians, Iranians and visitors from different European countries. The tourism industry specialists are optimistic that more tourists will visit Turkey and therefore they estimate that tourism revenue will reach around USD 30 bln this year.
