Wednesday, July 6
Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia Andria Urushadze broadcasted various achievements of the healthcare system to the Government. As the Minister said at the Governmental Session on Tuesday, the rehabilitation process of hospitals and clinics has been successfully going on for the last six months. Stressing that the 15-25-bed hospitals would be opened across different parts of Georgia by the end of 2011, Urushadze promised that the process would still continue in the frames of medical reform defined by the Government. Welcoming successful implementation of the reform, the PM thanked the private sector for supporting the Government in funding the process. Minister Urushadze would soon present detailed data about the medical reforms which, according to preliminary information, will conclude in 18-25 months.
