The Georgian nation has to say no to this government

In his interview to Kvela Siakhle Famous Rustaveli theatre art director Robert Sturua says that the Georgian nation has to say no to the current government.

“We Georgians must regret our sins. This must be led by Church and our country will survive. If you worship the devil, something bad awaits you,” Robert Sturua said. He considers that it was early to adopt a law on status of religious unities. “We, Georgians are in bad condition, we need spiritual strength. Let them return the lost lands and then speak about the laws they want to introduce. We don’t shoot and they are not shooting, but the country is at war. Georgian Orthodox Church has not stormed into houses of representatives of Muslims or other religions by forcing to convert to Christianity. Georgian character is noble. We have not taken lands from anyone, everything happens on the contrary. Let’s look at the map and we’ll see in which country there are not Georgian churches. Those lands belonged to us, but we are excessively silent. It is not right. You can not be in the government only to build good life and not think about the homeland. This irritates all Georgians,” Sturua said. He considers that Mikheil Saakashvili had to resign after losing territories and he didn’t have to hold military parade after 26 May events or bring Sharon Stone to Georgia.

Commenting on photographers case Sturua says that this is a fairy tale.

“This is a fairy tale, who is going to believe in it? Or how can they spy when everyone is being listened to and everything is video taped. This is very funny. Saakashvili hates when something is done or said without his permission or against him. They lie adroitly. I don’t understand what we serve or build against the background of this ideological terror. If they are going to build a European country, they will not succeed. This government wants Georgians to be slaves and admire everything they order us to,” Sturua states.

Bread price getting cheaper quicker everywhere except Georgia

During the last two weeks the price on several kinds of bread has decreased by 5 tetris, Kviris Palitra writes. But the flour price was lowered much earlier, when Russia abolished its embargo on wheat flour export. A vessel with wheat flour cargo arrived in Georgia from Russia several days ago. Analysts think that the arrival of this cargo should herald a reduction in bread price in Georgia. Having said that, some markets are still reluctant to lower the price.
