No more “Gruzia”

Georgia`s Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze met representatives of the diplomatic corps on July 14, Akhali Taoba reports. The latest developments taking place in the country were discussed at the meeting. One of the main issues discussed at the meeting was Russia`s possible integration into WTO and the ongoing talks with Switzerland on the issue. From this meeting it has become known that officially the name Gruzia will be replaced by Georgia.



Building of Kobuleti Professional College underway

The student campus and halls of residence of Kobuleti Professional College Akhali Talga are being constructed with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Minister of Education and Science Dimitri Shashkini has been inspecting the construction works.

The college campus will host up to 150 students from mountainous Adjara, Guria, Imereti, Samegrelo, Svaneti . The modern accommodation will give an opportunity to the college administration to organize international conferences, trainings and seminars.

Foreign specialists and tourism experts often pay visits to Kobuleti Professional College. The college participates in the exchange programs and Armenian students are currently taking a training course there.

Kobuleti Professional College “Akhali Talga” offers specialties mainly in the tourism field: tourism business, hotel management, tour guide, cook, receptionist, barman, among others.

70% of the trained students of the college are already employed by hotels including “ Sheraton Batumi”, “Radisson” , “ Georgian Palace”, “Oasis” and others.
