US State Secretary Hilary Clinton has hailed the idea of Turkmen gas being supplied to India. Later this month an agreement will be concluded on the possible construction and transportation of a gas pipeline from Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan–India. It is envisaged that a 1735 km long pipeline will be constructed. The cost of this project will be around USD 7.6 bln and will be transporting annually 30 bln cubic meters of gas.
