Moldova wants to have its piece of cake

On July 28 Moldova’s PM Vladimir Filat met the newly appointed Azeri Ambassador Namig Aliev in Chisinau to discuss further cooperation between Moldova and Azerbaijan in the sphere of energy resources. Moldova’s priority is to secure the country’s energy safety, according to officials at the meeting, and Aliev (who was previously Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Georgia) stated that his country plans to implement new investment projects in Moldova similar to those carried out in Romania, Hungary and Georgia. Azerbaijan has the capacity to carry out new investments in Moldova, Ambassador Aliev stated.
