Europe concerned of the poverty level in Georgia

During the recent parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe there serious concern raised over the increasing scale of poverty in Georgia. Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze confirmed that around 2 mln Georgian citizens live on the edge of the poverty line. Despite talk of economic growth, Georgia still has 35% of its population living near or below the poverty line.
