MP Baghaturia briefing in Parliament

Tuesday, September 6
The Parliamentary Bureau will assemble after the summer vacations today. The leader of the Georgian Troupe Movement, MP Jondi Baghaturia held a briefing yesterday to announce their intention to bring up several issues during the autumn plenary session.

Baghaturia does not rule out organizing rallies in cooperation with other opposition parties. One of their demands is to increase pensions for the elderly to the equivalent of 100 dollars, and to nullify the new combined communal tariffs where citizens pay for garbage collection according to the amount of electricity they consume.

They also plan to demand that an investigation commission be created to probe into details of the November 7, 2007 and May 26, 2011 demonstrations, which were dispersed violently by special task units.
