Investments into Georgia
By Messenger Staff
Friday, October 7Initially, the national statistics department stated that in 2010, USD 549 mln investments entered Georgia, however later the correct figure was published and this was USD 814 mln. Independent analysts think that either they are bad at calculation in the statistics department or the second figure was artificially adjusted. Analyst Avtandil Silagadze expressed his curiosity about such differences in figures. Investments in 2011 have also not been very big so far. In the first quarter USD 174 mln and in the second quarter USD 203 mln entered Georgia. The figures of the third quarter have not been made available yet.
