More Than Quarter of Million Tourists Visited Protected Areas

From January 2011, 274,239 tourists, including foreigners, visited Georgia's protected territories.

The majority of visitors were citizens of Israel, Germany, America, Holland and Turkey. Received revenue for that period amounted to 388,341 lari. The most popular places are Mgvime monastery in Imereti (western Georgia) and Kazbegi National Park which attracted 34,774 tourists.
