Infrastructural Projects in Kareli

Residents of 40 villages of Shida Kartli will be able to move by rehabilitated road. On October 30 the Minister of regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Ramz Nikolaishvili together with the President's Governor in Shida Kartli Giorgi Tatishvili has visited the rehabilitated works on 23 km road Kareli-Samtsverisi-Osiauri.

Kareli - Samtsverisi - Osiauri damaged road was creating transportation problems for the population of 40 villages placed along the road. In this section of the road the drainage channels were arranged, artificial structures have been rehabilitated and three bridges have been reconstructed. At present the asphalt - concrete cover is being arranged on the road. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure implements the project, funded by the World Bank. About 50 people are employed on the rehabilitation works, the most of whom are local residents.

The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Ramaz Nikolaishvili has visited construction of modern design administrative building in village Ruisi. The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia implements rehabilitation and construction of administrative buildings in 5 municipalities of Georgia. The project was financed by the Government of Georgia, and includes construction of modern; glass surfaced administrative buildings in Gori, Ninotsminda, Khobi and Gurjaani districts, and the rehabilitation of administrative building in Tetritskaro municipality. After completion of construction, these buildings will be equipped with the necessary office furniture and equipment. Almost 30 people are employed on the construction works, the most of whom are local residents.
