On November 9, the Armenian President, Serzh Sarkisian, told Armenian entrepreneurs that the State will become the guarantor of stability and a sustainable economic environment, and will decrease inflation and the budget deficit.

He also stated that Armenia's geopolitical peculiarities create obstacles in developing industry and that they also limit diversity. The President said that industrial development should aim not only at local consumption but also be oriented towards outside markets. Export development needs people with new skills, new technologies and investments. He also said business should be separated from politics, and that the State should respect the rights of businessmen.
